Lê Thị Hoàng Yến thuộc thế hệ cuối của 8X, cô là chị cả trong số 3 người con của đại gia Lê Thanh Thản. Từng có 7 năm tu nghiệp tại nước Anh, trở về Việt Nam cô đã quyết định về trợ giúp gia đình, nối nghiệp kinh doanh của cha.
Năm 2013, Yến chính thức gánh trên vai trọng trách Tổng giám đốc chuỗi khách sạn Mường Thanh. Như vậy, chưa đầy 30 tuổi, Lê Hoàng Yến đã trở thành Tổng giám đốc chuỗi khách sạn tư nhân lớn nhất Việt Nam giữa bối cảnh thị trường cạnh tranh khốc liệt.
Tuy nhiên, chỉ 3 năm sau ngày nhận chức, Lê Thị Hoàng Yến đã liên tiếp mở rộng thương hiệu Mường Thanh tới nhiều địa điểm du lịch nổi tiếng của Việt Nam, thậm chí còn hướng đến các vùng kinh tế mới như Bắc Giang, Thanh Hóa, Hà Tĩnh…nâng tổng số khách sạn từ 13 vào năm 2012 lên con số 38 vào năm 2015.
Năm 2016, CEO của Mường Thanh tiếp tục khai trương khách sạn 5 sao tại Thủ đô Viêng-Chăn (Lào). Nữ CEO của Tập đoàn Mường Thanh chia sẻ, sau Lào, nếu có cơ hội thuận lợi, Campuchia, Myanmar, Australia và Mỹ sẽ là những thị trường tiếp theo mà Mường Thanh cân nhắc lựa chọn khi mở rộng phạm vi hoạt động.
Đến năm 2018 vị CEO trẻ tuổi đã nâng tổng số khách sạn Mường Thanh lên 60 khách sạn và trở thành chuỗi khách sạn tư nhân lớn nhất Đông Nam Á.
Hoàng Yến luôn nỗ lực hết mình để đưa “con đại bàng” Mường Thanh vỗ cánh bay cao, bay xa.
Chia sẻ xung quanh câu chuyện kinh doanh của chuỗi khách sạn Mường Thanh, Lê Thị Hoàng Yến từng cho biết ngay từ những ngày đầu xây dựng, Mường Thanh đã được xác định sẽ trở thành thương hiệu khách sạn của người Việt, do người Việt quản lý và điều hành. Khi nhiều thương hiệu đang “chạy đua” Tây hóa do bị ảnh hưởng bởi quá trình hội nhập kinh tế thế giới, Mường Thanh vẫn kiên định với việc giữ gìn hình ảnh thuần Việt, lấy cơ sở những giá trị con người Việt làm định vị phát triển thương hiệu.
“Tiêu chí làm khách sạn của chúng tôi là “lấy giá rẻ, nhưng dịch vụ tốt để cạnh tranh“. Cùng là 5 sao nhưng giá phòng khách sạn của Mường Thanh chỉ bằng một nửa khách sạn của Tây. Ví dụ, khách sạn của các hãng nước ngoài giá 150 USD/đêm, thì khách sạn của Mường Thanh chỉ 60-80 USD/đêm”, Yến cho biết.
Chia sẻ với truyền thông về bí quyết thành công của Tập đoàn khách sạn Mường Thanh, Hoàng Yến khẳng định để có bộ máy tốt, Mường Thanh thực hiện chính sách “cầu hiền” đối với những người Việt đã có kinh nghiệm làm việc cho các tập đoàn quản lý khách sạn nước ngoài. Bởi vậy, nhiều nhân sự cấp cao đã về đầu quân cho Tập đoàn. Ban đầu, văn phòng Tập đoàn Mường Thanh chỉ có 2 người, giờ đã có gần trăm người người giỏi chuyên môn và tâm huyết với công việc, hiện nay trên tòan hệ thống khách sạn Mường Thanh số lượng nhân viên lên tới 12.000 người.
Và để có thể quản trị vận hành với 12.000 nhân sự khắp các tỉnh thành, Hoàng Yến vẫn luôn giữ cho mình triết lý lấy con người làm trung tâm, coi con người là cốt lõi của vấn đề đồng thời xác định trao quyền, trao trách nhiệm, tin tưởng, tuy nhiên có giám sát, kiểm tra, đào tạo, bồi dưỡng và thẩm định thường xuyên để xây dựng đội ngũ tốt.
Mong muốn xây dựng chuỗi khách sạn mang thương hiệu Việt, của người Việt điều hành và quản lý là lý do khiến nữ CEO Mường Thanh quyết tâm đầu tư và mở rộng quy mô không chỉ trên cả nước mà còn cả ở nước ngoài trong những năm vừa qua. Theo kế hoạch, Tập đoàn này sẽ tiếp tục đầu tư mở rộng trong những năm tới, tuy nhiên sẽ có sự đánh giá và nghiên cứu cụ thể trước khi triển khai.
Nữ lãnh đạo trẻ cũng thừa nhận, áp lực đương nhiên là có, nhưng chị luôn xác định áp lực giúp chị lớn và trưởng thành hơn để có thể triển khai nhiều kế hoạch mà bố mình còn ấp ủ.
