Liên quan đến việc Big C ngừng nhập hàng dệt may của Việt Nam, trong buổi làm việc riêng với Bộ Công Thương, ông Philippe Broianigo, Tổng giám đốc điều hành Tập đoàn Central Group Việt Nam – đơn vị sở hữu thương hiệu Big C cho biết việc tạm dừng không phải là đột ngột giống như một số bên đã tung tin ra.
Ông Philippe chia sẻ 3 tháng trước, Central Group Việt Nam đã có buổi làm việc với các nhà cung cấp về việc cần cải thiện hơn về chất lượng mẫu mã sản phẩm nhưng việc tiếp thu chưa đáp ứng như kỳ vọng. Ngoài ra, việc thay đổi chiến lược với ngành hàng may mặc của Central Group Việt Nam cũng nhằm phục vụ tốt hơn thị trường trong nước và hướng đến xuất khẩu.
Về việc các doanh nghiệp may mặc phản đối, căng băng rôn, biểu ngữ trước trụ sở của Central, vị CEO này cho biết, tập đoàn đã có buổi gặp gỡ các nhà cung cấp này để giải thích những thắc mắc, băn khoăn của các nhà cung cấp về việc tạm dừng mua hàng của các doanh nghiệp cung ứng dệt may Việt Nam.
Ông Philippe Broianigo cho hay, Central Group đang có những chiến lược mới cho ngành hàng may mặc tại hệ thống phân phối tại Việt Nam và việc tạm dừng mua hàng nằm trong chiến lược đó. Việc tạm dừng mua hàng này sẽ diễn ra trong khoảng 15 ngày.
“Central Group cũng đã gửi thư cho các nhà cung ứng đối tác giải thích rằng việc dừng mua hàng chỉ là tạm thời. Tất cả những đơn hàng đã ký trước đó vẫn tiếp tục được thực hiện”, vị CEO nói.
Hiện có tổng số 4.000 nhà cung cấp Việt Nam đang cung ứng hàng hóa cho hệ thống phân phối bán lẻ của Central Group tại Việt Nam. Trong đó, Central Group đang tạm ngưng nhập khẩu hàng hóa của 200 nhà sản xuất ngành dệt may.
Central Group Việt Nam đang xem xét lại hồ sơ năng lực của các doanh nghiệp và ngay trong ngày 4/7 đã mở lại đơn hàng cho 50 nhà cung ứng.
Theo vị Tổng giám đốc này, trong vòng 2 tuần tới, tập đoàn sẽ gặp các nhà cung cấp hàng đầu trong ngành dệt may hiện tại để trao đổi kỹ hơn về những yêu cầu của công ty với hy vọng sẽ hợp tác lâu dài cùng nhau và hy vọng sẽ tiếp tục mở đơn hàng cho 100 nhà cung cấp.
“Riêng 50 nhà cung cấp còn lại, chúng tôi sẽ ngồi lại, bàn bạc kỹ lưỡng, ghé thăm nhà máy để có những đánh giá kỹ hơn về năng lực, đồng thời yêu cầu họ thay đổi để đáp ứng những yêu cầu của Central Group Việt Nam trong tương lai. Với những nhà cung cấp này, có thể cần thời gian nhiều hơn 2 tuần”, ông Philippe Broianigo cho hay.
Ông Philippe Broianigo khẳng định sẽ sớm ký lại hợp đồng với 150/200 nhà cung ứng dệt may.
Tuy nhiên, bà Lê Việt Nga, Phó vụ trưởng Vụ Thị trường trong nước lại cho biết: “Big C không phàn nàn về chất lượng hàng dệt may Việt mà họ thay đổi chiến lược kinh doanh mới là siêu thị GO! Market với mặt bằng khác, mặt hàng kinh doanh chất lượng cao nhiều hơn. Đây là chiến lược kinh doanh mới của họ và mình tôn trọng quyết định đó và theo dõi có tuân thủ pháp luật Việt Nam như Luật Cạnh tranh, Luật Dân sự, bảo vệ người tiêu dùng”.

Tại Việt Nam, Central Group nổi lên sau thương vụ mua lại chuỗi siêu thị Big C năm 2016, với giá 1,05 tỷ USD. Hiện tại, tập đoàn này đang nắm giữ cổ phần chi phối trong công ty điện máy Nguyễn Kim và thành lập nhiều chuỗi cửa hàng bán lẻ khác.
